That's exactly what we were looking for when it came to finding the perfect baby moon location. A resort on the beach where we could indulge in great eats, soak in the ocean air and relax by the pool with a yummy mocktail. If those are things on your list then keep on reading.
Daytona Beach, renowned for its stunning coastline and vibrant atmosphere, has just welcomed a new gem to its shores - Max Beach Resort. Chris and I have visited several Florida beaches in the past but haven't had the chance to check off Daytona from our list, so we knew that was a great place to start. As a soon-to-be Mom, I had the pleasure of experiencing this extraordinary hotel firsthand with my husband, and I must say, it surpassed all of our expectations. Luxurious Accommodations:
From the moment we stepped into the lobby of Max Beach Resort, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and relaxation. This 12 story Resort features 72 luxurious, one-, two- and three-bedroom residence-style suites, all with private baths and some with soaking tubs. These oceanfront vacation rentals are located in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida. With its prime location, stunning architecture and breathtaking views, guests will experience the best new way to vacation on Florida's East coast.
We had the pleasure of staying in a 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Residence. Our room was beautifully appointed, featuring modern amenities and plush furnishings that exuded a sense of tranquility. The attention to detail in the design made us feel pampered and at ease throughout our stay.

We were so excited to be able to bring along some food and snacks, perfect for those late-night pregnancy cravings. I loved being able to whip up a quick breakfast or lunch after a long day on the beach as well and just soaking in the ocean air on our outdoor terrace. We will never get over the views from the floor to ceiling windows in each of the bedrooms and bathrooms. We also slept amazing in their extra cozy king size bed. There were plenty of pillow for this pregnant mama to stay comfortable throughout the night and that to me was a HUGE plus.
Exceptional Amenities:
One of the standout features of Max Beach Resort is its array of exceptional amenities, ensuring that guests have everything they need for a memorable stay. The resort offers a saltwater oceanfront pool that overlooks the pristine beach, providing a picture-perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. We spent hours lounging by this pool on the daily, soaking up the warm Florida sun and enjoying the attentive poolside service. At night my husband was able to relax in the hot tub that can fit up to 6 guests.
You can order food directly from the pool through their attentive servers and enjoy Venn Bar’s offerings. We chose to go sit at the bar front and soak in the scenery, which was a nice break from the sun as well. Most tables have umbrellas to provide shade. You can also reserve a private cabana as the perfect beachfront venue for hosting family reunions or relaxing with friends.
For my fellow fitness lovers, take your workout to new heights in their fitness center located on the 12th floor. This gym had all of the latest state-of-the-art equipment and with views of the ocean for miles you're sure to be inspired to get that body in shape. They also offer yoga classes throughout the week. (SkillBikes, SkillRows, SkillMills and more are all included in the circuit training equipment.)
The Beacon Lifestyle Lounge was the perfect place to relax, play some games, and soak in the gorgeous views. This room had plenty of spaces for families of all sizes to come and relax, play, and unwind. It was packed with board games, a pool table, table shuffleboard, checkers and more.
The Rooftop Terrace was probably our favorite little hideaway. It had little couches for lounging and just soaking in the ambience of Daytona. I feltlike I was on the top of a cruise ship up here and the views were just stunning for miles and miles. I highly recommend taking some time out of your next vacation to just breathe in the ocean air and relax on the rooftop terrace.
Exquisite Dining:
Food enthusiasts will be delighted by the culinary experiences available at Max Beach Resort. The Venn Bar features an all-day coastal cuisine, with delicious beachside cocktails and, in my case, mocktails. You can make reservations on Open Table to secure a spot on your next stay. We had the pleasure of soaking in the morning sunshine with some delicious breakfast dishes. The food was fresh, beautifully portioned, and utterly delicious. One of my biggest cravings this pregnancy had been pancakes and when I saw they had blueberry pancakes on their menu I just had to get them. These were the most decadent pancakes I have ever had. With a side of cream cheese frosting and syrup it was something I will dreaming about for months to come. My sides included bacon and breakfast potatoes both a 10/10.
Chris had the breakfast platter that came with toast, eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. Of course, he couldn't help but steal a few bites of my pancakes as well. Overall, we were so impressed with the service, and quality of food. We highly recommend Venn Bar on your next trip to Daytona. We loved it so much we came back for lunch the next day.
Relaxation and Bonding:
Max Beach Resort understands that a babymoon should be a time of bonding and creating cherished memories. The hotel offers so many ways to unwind, relax and soak in each other's company. Chris and I felt so blessed to walk out onto our beautiful balcony and to watch the sunrise and sunsets each day. Cabanas are also open for rental for private gatherings or parties.
Being 8 months pregnant, one of my favorite perks was the proximity to the beachfront. I was able to be steps from the ocean at any point so going on romantic walks or soaking in the sunrise from the beachfront was just an elevator ride away. If you have small children, this resort was perfect for switching it up between being on the beach and swimming in the pool as well.

Max Beach Resort in Daytona Beach proved to be the perfect destination for our babymoon. We spent 3 full days soaking in some much-needed relaxation and were able to really bond one last time as a couple before becoming a family of 3. Its luxurious accommodations, unparalleled amenities, exquisite dining, and carefully curated activities ensured that our stay was nothing short of exceptional. We left the resort feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to welcome our little one into the world.
