Aloft Tampa Midtown

I am so excited to finally share with you a fun little staycations e just had outside of the Orlando bubble. This past weekend Chris and I had the pleasure of staying at Aloft Tampa Midtown, a gorgeous new hotel right by all of the excitement that Tampa Bay has to offer.

The newly opened (February 2021) dual-branded Aloft and Element property features 226 rooms in the heart of one of Tampa’s hottest new districts.

Linking Westshore to Downtown, Midtown Tampa offers a central neighborhood that is undeniably energetic and contemporary, and is just minutes from Tampa International Airport, Raymond James Stadium, International Mall and Bay Street. The properties share a central lobby and bistro, as well as 1,000-sqaure-foot fitness center, meeting space and street-level retail. In addition, the rooftop Sal Y Mar Lounge offers 360-degree views of the Tampa, Westshore, and St. Petersburg skylines, with an unconventional rooftop experience.

One of my favorite things about the Aloft Tampa Midtown is the stunning lobby area.Because there are two different hotel aesthetics, there is literally something for everyone. The Elementa side is very bright and airy offering fruit water, beverages, and games on their many couches and lounge area. The Aloft side offers a bar, cocktail lounge and pool table perfect for celebrating and partying the night away. Overall, The one thing that blew my mind was the space itself, filled with bright open windows and gorgeous light fixtures.

The WXYZ bar is a great place to relax before heading out for the night. I loved the fact that you can play a game of pool or sit in one of the comfy stylish tables and catch up with your friends while enjoying the stunning views of Tampa Midtown.

The rooms were very spacious, bright , and airy. I especially loved the artwork on the wallpaper and thought it added such a fun and whimsical vibe to the already Art Deco space. There is a coffee maker and a mini fridge that is deep enough to hold wine bottles.

Chris and I had the most romantic dinner at Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar. This rooftop restaurants boasts stunning views of Tampa Bay . It gives off the best bohemian vibes and has the most gorgeous indoor/outdoor setup. Check out the menu here.

We started off with a few cocktails which were absolutely delicious. Mine had hints of raspberry and coconut and was super light. We decided to share the salad, and tacos (chicken, steak and fish) . Overall the plates came with 4 tacos each which was plenty to share. The salad had a lemon vinaigrette which was to die for. I thought our waitress gave the perfect advice and pairings baed off of our cocktail choices.

The pool is also located on the rooftop and was stunning with an infinity-type overflow. I was pleasantly surprised by how warm the water was a well since it was December in Florida. I wish we could have had a few more nights to stay and relax by this pool because I;ll tell you right now I could have laid there all day.

We had such a fabulous stay at the Aloft Tampa Midtown. I will definitely be back! If you are looking to book your next Tampa stay look no further! Book your staycation HERE!

Where should I stay next?
