The Perfect Summer Curls

Ive been asked how I get my perfect beach waves to stay bouncy all day long in the summer heat. Well, the secrets out. Keep reading to find out how I get that effortless wavy look all year long.

I wanted to start off by saying that I am {not an expert} by any means, but I am here to help you out by showing you what has worked well for me in the past. Everything I have learned has been from trial and error. I first started curling my hair in college and boy was I awful back then.

I first started out with a 1/2 inch curling wand by Conair. Click here if you'd like to shop this style. This particular wand goes from a 1 inch down to a 1/2 in barrel. It creates very tight curls and looks best, I think, when curling your hair in a ponytail. If you have longer, thicker hair like mine you may not want to use this one as it just makes my hair to thick and wild.

Pictured below are some looks I created with this particular wand:

Next up are my two favorite curlers in the entire world -- NUME and Remington.

Both curlers have a wider barrel. The Remington wand goes from a 1 in to 1.5in barrel which is better if you are looking for looser waves. The Name is the same width the entire length of the barrel at 1.5in. I get a similar look when using both so I like tout them into the same category. I will share my techniques on how I actually curl my hair in another post.

I recently teamed up with a company called Croc USA. They sell Amazing hair care products and were kind enough to send me their hybrid 1in curling iron. Upon receiving the package I was super impressed with the high quality and gorgeous packaging. I have used the curler quite a few times and it not only leaves my hair loose and wavy just how I like it, but it also leaves my hair shiny and not dry which is a plus for my blonde hair.

I have a coupon code to share with you all to use at their website here.

My last secret is how I keep my hair bouncy and soft throughout the day. Now I know everyone has different hair, but this is something that has worked for me and my hair for years now, even in the Florida humidity. The secret is dry shampoo. I personally LOVE the brand Not Your Mother's (Plump For Joy) because it smells amazing and it adds just the right amount of volume, especially if you just washed you hair that morning and it's feeling a little flat.

I do not use any hairspray because I tend to feel like it makes my hair sticky, and heavy. I like tube able to run my fingers through my hair and with dry shampoo it really does absorb the wetness and leaves my hair bouncy throughout the day. Try it out and let me know down below if it works for you!

I will be adding some tutorial videos to my youtube page later this month. SUBSCRIBE today for more content!
